SYNGENE
An integrated in vitro - in silico system to predict DILI in vivo
Presented by: Syngene International Limited
Short description: A Virtual Liver model of liver homeostasis has been developed and validated. This model along with a panel of assays, can be used to predict three modes of liver toxicity including hepatocellular necrosis, steatosis and cholestasis as well as to understand the mechanistic rationale behind the predictions. Using a few proven examples, we will describe the model, in vitro assay set and how these are together used to understand toxicity in vivo. In this session, we will also talk about how this system can help you in the different stages of drug development.
